How to Start Outsourcing your Projects

- The Process

Web Network has adopted the following procedure for the smooth commissioning of your offshore Project Development Process. This is a general guideline, and might differ from the actual process employed, depending on your project.

1. First Contact
An account manager, often with a member of our technical staff, will meet you in person or through Internet, to ascertain your requirements and fix an appointment for the 20-minute presentation of “How Project Outsourcing can be useful for your organisation”. This is an informal meeting to exchange ideas.

2. The presentation
The presentation, “Project Outsourcing and your organisation”, is given so that your Mangers and Project Leaders can understand how the Outsourcing process can be used for the effective growth and functioning of the Organisation and how they can add more value to the whole project through outsourcing. The presentation is for 20 minutes, followed by a question and answers session.

3. The Requirements Study
Our Project Manager will sit with your team to evaluate your requirements. One or more sittings might be necessary to finalise your requirements.

4. Drawing Up the Specification Document
Once the Requirements analysis is done, we finalise the Requirements Specification Document. This will contain the duration, nature, methodologies followed, communication setup, contact person and other details necessary, depending on the nature of the outsourced work.

5. The Quote.
Based on the requirements study done, a Requirements Specification and a no obligation quote are created and submitted for your approval. The quote is calculated based on the then pricing structure.

6. Setting up the Communication Mechanism
The next step is setting up the communication mechanism with the offshore office. Once this is set up and any necessary training in using the communication set up is given to your staff.

7. Setting Up the Project Development Team
We pre-select a panel of candidates from our list that would best suite your requirements. This leaves your office free from the selection process.
OR
Your office can choose the project development team from a list of candidates. An Interview with the candidates would be arranged, on request.

8. Setting up the Infrastructure.
The infrastructure for the project Team is set up as per your requirements. If your off shore team size is small and you are planning to use one of our existing infrastructure, then the team members are allocated time and seats. However, if your of shore project team requires a separate office, a new office is set up along with the infrastructure. All other necessary infrastructure requirements are also set up at this stage.

9. Verification
Once the above stages are complete, your office is allowed to inspect the Project Team and Project Development Infrastructure. Your contact person in the off shore Project office will arrange this on your request. If the offshore project team is large, it is recommended that you physically verify this by sending one of your staff members.

10. Training your staff.
Our staff will provide training to your Management and Technical staff on how to run the Offshore Development Project successfully. Training is also provided for using any special tools or software supplied by us or acquired from third party for running the Offshore Development Project
.

11. Starting the Project
Your account manager will meet with you again, once the Offshore Project Development Team has started working on the project, to discuss the Development Process and its effectiveness and also to document any changes, if required.
